| Winterization Winter 2000 Rexhall Industries, Inc. Newsletter | ||||
| Season’s Greetings from the Engineering Department. Well, the leaves have pretty much dropped off their branches, and Jack Frost has made more than one visit to us in the high desert. It’s that time of the year to make the decision……….Do you go south or do you find some warm snug place to hide out the winter months and winterize your coach? If you have decided to go south, good for you. Let’s be honest -warmth is better (and besides, that’s why you bought a house on wheels in the first place). If not, remember to winterize. Your owner’s manual tells you how to prepare your coaches wet systems for the cold months ahead. Heed it’s advice and make sure you have done what it says. Now is also a good time to check your coach over for any other items that might pop up. You might want to get underneath and double check the wiring, make sure it’s up and out of the way. Check the sealant under your coach (as in the seals around drainpipes, and other entry locations in the floor) and make sure there aren’t any gaps appearing. I know that squirrels and mice like a nice warm home, too. Finally, you might consider covering your tires to slow sun corrosion and install cardboard or some other protective barrier in the window to slow that ever-present sun fade. However, most of all……………Enjoy the Holidays!! Rod Jones Documentation email:rodj@rexhall.com | ||||
