| Bathroom Sink Top Side Shelf Tip submitted by Doug Hildreth 8/2002 (email firebird@mind.net): | |||||||||||||||||||||
| On many Rexhall’s there is a small space between the sink and shower. It is about 4 inches wide. It is not really big enough to put anything there (Linda occasionally has a small, narrow makeup satchel that fits there), but it is big enough for items to fall off the sink into the space. Linda asked for a small shelf that would give us a few more square inches of counter space, allow a place for light items to be kept, and catch things that I dropped. At Target we found a shower type “shelf” with suction cups (see photo); only $7. It is clear plasic tray, 4 x 15 inches. By removing the suction cups and carefully drilling holes in the plastic, it was relatively easy to attach it with screws into the wood paneling of the sink just below the countertop. We have found it to be extremely useful. You might want to consider it. | |||||||||||||||||||||
